Do I need to book the bedroom or suite myself?

The bedroom or suite booking will be made directly with the Shangri La hotel and is not included in our proposal planning fee. As partners with the hotel, we can extend a 10% discount and assist with putting you in touch with them. Please note blackout dates may apply.

How does proposing in a hotel room work?

It’s very easy. You book the hotel room and our services. We then transform your bedroom with romantic décor at check-in or while you’re out for dinner. When you return, your partner will be completely surprised. All you need to do is ask the question!

What if I want a videographer or musician?

Absolutely, we can organise both. Just let us know what you have in mind and we’ll assist with pricing and availability.

Is a bedroom proposal really private?

Yes, completely. Once you’re in the suite or bedroom, it’s your own world. We never interrupt.

How will you decorate the room for a proposal?

Our typical setup includes rose petals, silk floral arrangements, candles, tealights, fairy lights, and a celebration sign, all styled in the colour of your choice.

Can I personalise the décor or add something meaningful?

Yes, we love creating personal touches. This can be framed photos, favourite flowers, or unique themes such as Harry Potter or Beauty and the Beast. Book a consultation and we’ll learn more about you both and make personalised suggestions.

How far in advance should I book?

Ideally, we recommend at least 2 weeks’ notice. However, we can organise hotel room proposals within 48 hours depending on availability.

Will someone be there on the day to make sure everything goes smoothly?

Yes. One of our experienced planners will be there to style the room and ensure every detail is perfect. You won’t need to lift a finger.

When You Propose in a Hotel Room

Yes. The hotel room will be booked directly and then we’ll take it from there. We’re happy to recommend luxury romantic hotels we adore in the city. Once the hotel and our services are finalised we will coordinate everything with the venue to ensure swift access and a perfect proposal moment.
On the day we will set up the magical decor either before check-in or after you leave the room in the evening for dinner. Then when you arrive to the bedroom it will be time to pop the big question.
We can work with any space, though suites offer more room for romantic setups. The final look is always tailored to your chosen room. Please note depending on the room size we will be able to provide a final quote (in the case that more decoration is required).
Yes. If we set up for check-in we can come in on the same day to pack everything away. Alternatively for evening time transformations we can absolutely pack up everything the following day. Our next day fee is £99 + VAT, ensuring everything disappears without hassle.
