When Mandeep came to us he was already engaged to be married to his girlfriend Sharan, but he wanted propose again in a unique and meaningful way. He had a fantastic idea in mind, but needed our help to achieve it.
Mandeep told us that he had arranged for Sharan and himself to have a photoshoot for their save the date wedding cards. During the shoot he wanted to surprise Sharan by proposing to her.
Mandeep is very creative and he wanted to ask Sharan to marry him in an imaginative way, so we came up with the idea of using a personalised comic strip banner. We sent the idea over to our illustrator and he made the idea come to life with this amazing illustration.
Mandeep told us that he and Sharan love Facebook so we thought that it would be a great idea to incorporate this into the proposal somehow. We ordered a life size Facebook profile picture, which had the date of their wedding on, so that they could use it in their save-the-date cards. On the day of the proposal one of our proposal planners and our videographer headed off to the location of the proposal, (outside of the Swarovzki head office, which was where the couple had first met!) They made sure to hide so that Sharan had no idea what was about to happen.
Whilst Mandeep and Sharan were having their photoshoot, our videographer wassecretly capturing footage of the lovely couple from a far. After a while, Mandeep told Sharan that he needed to go and talk to the photographer about setting up the next shot, whilst he was doing this the other photographer distracted Sharan, so that our proposal planner could sneak up behind her and hang up the banner.
When Mandeep came back her told Sharan to turn around. As she did she noticed the banner behind her, whilst she was busy reading the banner Mandeep got down on one knee behind her.
She was ecstatic when she turned around and saw him waiting on bended knee to ask her to be his wife. Of course she said 'YES!'
They celebrated with a glass of bubbly whilst taking shots with the Facebook and 'He Asked', 'She said yes' signs we had made.
