A Bespoke Dorchester Proposal Planned in 24 Hours for Premier League Footballer Pedro Neto

A bespoke Dorchester proposal with 22 suppliers, 2,500 flowers, and live musicians, all planned from scratch in just 24 hours. This is the story of how we turned a last-minute brief from Premier League footballer Pedro Neto into an unforgettable evening for Pedro and Carolina at one of London's most iconic luxury hotels.

How a Last-Minute Luxury Proposal Brief Became a Reality

When Pedro Neto came to us with a very big question for Carolina Cunha e Silva, we knew immediately that this was not going to be a standard proposal. Pedro is a high-profile Premier League footballer, which meant the experience needed to feel private, polished, and completely seamless. But above all, it needed to feel like them.

The challenge was the timeline. We had just 24 hours to turn the brief into a fully realised, bespoke proposal at The Dorchester. There was no time for weeks of planning, endless supplier meetings, or waiting for the perfect moment to come together. We had to understand what mattered to Pedro, understand what Carolina would love, and then make it happen, fast.

That kind of speed is only possible because of the relationships, experience, and supplier network that sit behind every proposal we plan. We already know who to call, how to brief them quickly, and how to keep everyone moving toward the same deadline. It's the reason clients trust us with proposals at this scale and at this pace, and it's the reason we've never once had a moment that wasn't ready when it needed to be.

Designing a Proposal That Felt Unmistakably Pedro and Carolina

We started with Pedro. Before we thought about venues, flowers, or logistics, we asked him to tell us about Carolina. He gave us the details that would make the proposal personal rather than generic: the colours she loved, the types of flowers she'd appreciate, the feeling he wanted the evening to have. He also chose the song he wanted the musicians to perform, "A Thousand Years," so that even the soundtrack would carry a meaning that belonged specifically to them.

From there, the concept took shape. We didn't want to simply dress a beautiful London location. We wanted to transform The Dorchester's terrace into a private secret garden above the city, something luxurious enough for the setting but intimate enough to feel like their own world. Abundant florals, candlelight, live music, and an elegant dinner setting waiting for them after the question. Every element was shaped by what Pedro told us about Carolina, which meant the result couldn't have belonged to anyone else.

This is the part of proposal planning that people rarely see and that makes the biggest difference. The creative direction isn't about choosing what looks best on camera. It's about translating what one person knows about another into a physical experience that feels deeply, unmistakably personal. Pedro gave us the insight. We turned it into the experience.

Coordinating 22 Suppliers and 2,500 Flowers Overnight

With the concept locked, we moved into production. In 24 hours, we brought together 22 suppliers and coordinated every element of the evening: florals, styling, dining, music, photography, candlelight, and the reveal itself.

Wild About Flowers created the spectacular floral installation, sourcing and importing 2,500 blooms overnight to make the vision possible. The floral brief came directly from Pedro. He told us the colours and flower types Carolina liked, and we used that information to shape the palette and the overall look. The flowers were not chosen simply because they photographed beautifully. They were chosen because Pedro knew Carolina would love them, and that distinction is what separates a beautiful proposal from a genuinely personal one.

We filled the terrace with roses and seasonal blooms, creating a rich palette of reds, pinks, and softer tones layered against lush greenery. Candles were positioned around the space to make the setting feel warm as the evening moved toward the proposal. We also designed the dining setting so the experience didn't simply stop after the "yes." The table, candlelight, glassware, flowers, and music all worked together to create a natural continuation of the evening, because a proposal should be the beginning of the celebration, not just a standalone moment.

Planning Every Transition So the Moment Felt Natural

Once the creative direction was set, we worked backwards from the reveal. What would Carolina see first? Where would the musicians be positioned? How would the curtains open? Where would Pedro ask the question? How would the floral installation frame them? How would the dinner setting continue the evening once she had said yes?

We planned every transition so that the experience would feel natural in the moment, even though there was a huge amount happening behind the scenes. With a proposal this personal, our job was not simply to make it beautiful. It was to make it completely effortless for Pedro and entirely unexpected for Carolina.

The person being proposed to should never see the work. They should simply walk into the moment and feel that it was made especially for them. That was exactly what we were aiming for, and it shaped every decision we made throughout the 24 hours.

The Reveal at The Dorchester

After a full day of calls, coordination, deliveries, styling, and setup, we reached the part of the job we love most: stepping back and letting the moment happen.

We had transformed The Dorchester terrace into a secret garden filled with the colours and flowers Pedro had chosen for Carolina. The musicians were ready with the song he had selected. The candles were glowing. The table was waiting. Everything was in place.

Then the curtains opened. The music began. Carolina stepped into the garden we had created around everything Pedro had told us about her, and he asked the question he had been waiting to ask.

She said yes.

We can manage 22 suppliers, 2,500 flowers, and a 24-hour deadline, but ultimately none of that matters unless the couple forgets everything else and simply feels the moment. That is what all the planning is for.

After the Yes and Why the Evening Didn't End With the Question

For us, the proposal does not end when the ring is on the finger. Once Pedro and Carolina had their moment, we wanted them to have time to breathe, take it all in, and enjoy what they had just experienced together, while the emotion was still completely fresh.

That is why we designed the evening at The Dorchester as a full experience rather than a single reveal. The beautiful setting remained theirs, the dinner was ready, and there was time for them to celebrate together in the garden we'd built. The photographs from those first minutes after a proposal are often the most genuine, the laughter, the hugs, the ring, the disbelief, the happiness. We planned the space so that those memories could be captured naturally without taking the couple out of the experience.

Pedro's choices were carried through the entire evening, from the flowers he knew Carolina loved to the song he had chosen for her. The result was a proposal that felt luxurious but also deeply personal, which is exactly what a bespoke proposal should be.

What This Proposal Shows About What a Proposal Planner Actually Does

Pedro and Carolina's proposal is a perfect example of what we do best, and what most people don't fully understand about professional proposal planning until they've experienced it. A luxury proposal is not just about creating something that looks incredible. It is about listening to the person planning it, understanding the person they love, and turning those details into a moment that could not belong to anyone else.

Pedro trusted us with a very personal brief. We took his knowledge of Carolina, his choices of flowers and colours, his choice of "A Thousand Years" and his vision for the evening, and turned them into a complete proposal experience at The Dorchester. Behind the scenes, we handled the planning, supplier coordination, styling, logistics, timings, and on-the-day execution, so Pedro did not have to manage any of it himself. He arrived calm, present, and focused entirely on the person standing in front of him.

That is what we mean when we say we make the complicated look effortless. Our clients get to be present for the moment because we are busy making sure everything around it is exactly where it should be.
