Proposing is a daunting business. Gone are the days when it was acceptable to get down on one knee to ask your girlfriend those four little words that she's been dreaming of hearing her entire life, Will you marry me- before sliding that beautiful diamond ring onto her awaiting finger. Today proposing has almost turned into a competition. It seems the bigger the spectacle the greater your love. Fortunately, we are ready and waiting to give a helping hand so that you too can create the perfect proposal for your partner. Take a look below to see The Proposers Guide for the best ways to propose in Suffolk. 1. In front of a spectacular building: If it's a jaw dropping, treat her like a princess proposal that you're after then Ickworth House is the ideal location. Whether it's by the house itself, in the expansive gardens or in the parkland beyond you're not short of beautiful surroundings to pop that all-important question Plus think how great your engagement photo will look! 2. In a private venue: Another location that will make her feel like a Queen is Hengrave Hall.

Imagine hiring the venue and having it all to yourselves. The gardens would make a stunning location for the proposal and you could even arrange to have Will You Marry Me, written out in fire!
3. Whilst glamping. If you're nature lovers, get back to it in style with a spot of glamping. Secret Meadows offer luxury gypsy wagons, which would be perfect. Just think how romantic it would be to propose in front of a fire, under a sky full of stars!

We can arrange for you to return to your accommodation after a day of activities to see that it has been completely transformed with fairy lights, flowers, and candles. We can also arrange for a private chef to come and cook a three-course meal for you to enjoy whilst you are celebrating your engagement.

4. At the beach: Aldeburgh, Claremont, Kessingland, The Pier Beach. Suffolk is lucky enough to have an abundance of beaches so if you want to propose by the sea, this could be ideal for you.

Why not hire a beach hut and get us to come and beautifully decorate it for you with fairy lights, candles, flower petals and personalised trinkets? Alternatively, we can come and organise a private romantic picnic on the beach for you.

5. On a boat. Whether you hire a cute rowing boat for an hour or two, or a private speedboat for the day, proposing on the water is incredibly romantic and Thorpeness Meare is an idyllic setting.

We once re-created a scene from the film, The Notebook, for one proposal. This involved a rowing boat on the lake, a West End singer to perform the couple's favourite song, and hundreds of paper swans!
