Lake Como Wedding Proposal: A real life story

Back in November of last year, we were approached by a client with a clear vision and a heart full of intention. He had already taken the first step by securing a breathtaking villa overlooking the serene waters of Lake Como. But he knew he wanted more. He wanted to craft a once-in-a-lifetime moment for his partner, one that went beyond just a beautiful backdrop. That’s where we came in.

From the very beginning, his dream was to create a proposal experience that was deeply personal, cinematic, and unforgettable. Over the course of six months, we worked closely with him to bring that vision to life from beautiful floral arrangements that matched the backdrop, to a private violin serenade all captured by the very best photographer and videographer. The day of the Lake Como Proposal … 

The day began peacefully, with the couple enjoying a leisurely lunch in Lake Como. The bride-to-be was completely unaware of the life-changing surprise ahead. Behind the scenes, our proposal planner Henry and photographer Tom had arrived in Italy and made their way to the stunning villa to start bringing months of planning to life.

Welcomed by the villa’s lovely host, the team began preparing for the big moment. Soon after, the florist arrived with beautiful arrangements, followed by the violinist, private chef, and videographer  all ready to make the proposal unforgettable.

To set the plan in motion, the groom-to-be told his partner he’d “lost his Apple Watch,” giving him the perfect excuse to slip away and head to the villa. Once there, he recorded a heartfelt video with instructions for her to get ready for a surprise and meet him at a secret location.

When she arrived, she was greeted at the entrance by her partner, who led her through the villa to a breathtaking floral setup overlooking the lake. There, with soft music playing and the sun beginning to set, he asked the all important four words and of course she said yes.

They celebrated with photos and videos, followed by an intimate three-course dinner on the terrace as she took in the story behind the surprise. It was a perfect, heartwarming end to a proposal that neither of them, nor our team, will ever forget.
