Last month our Founder Daisy was invited to attend Engage Summits 2016 which took place in the stunning Borgo Egnazia in Puglia. Daisy didn’t know what to expect having never attended an event like it before, but was absolutely blown away by the whole experience.
To give you an insight into some of what Daisy got up to, take a look at what she has to say below:
Background
Engage Summits is a luxury three day wedding business summit which takes place each year in the top resorts around the world. It is a place where the top wedding professionals from each continent come together to inspire creativity, ignite passion, learn about new developments in the industry, and make new friends.
Just one of the amazing care packages I received during the summit.
Day 1
When I arrived at Borgo Egnazia I could see exactly why it had been voted the best hotel in the world. Nestled in a beautiful purpose built village (not that you could tell), it is a hotel like none that I have ever been to before. When I checked into my villa I was incredibly excited to be told that Madonna (eek!) had stayed in the exact villa I was staying in!
The day kicked off with a talk from the incredible David Beahm followed by Sarah Haywood and Colin Cowie. Each talk gave us a brilliant insight into how to enhance your brand.
After a day full of talks we went for dinner in the piazza, which had been completely transformed with long tables and beautiful decorations.
The food was divine and to top the night off we listened to a wonderful local band as fireworks went off in the background.
Oh and there was a Silent Disco! What could be a better end to the evening than that!

Day 2
Day 2 started with talks from Simon T Bailey, followed by the one and only Preston Bailey. Listening to their knowledge about the industries in which they excel was the best way to start the day.
Whilst we were sitting in the sun enjoying a mug of delicious Italian coffee as a mid morning break we were surprised by a brass band who began performing ‘Young Man.’ It was such a fantastic treat to break up the talks. [video width="960" height="544" mp4="http://theproposers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/borgo.mp4"] After our coffee break the seminars continued and we heard from Froonck, Marcy Blum and Cindy Novotny who are all unbelievably talented, before being given bikes to ride to the beach for lunch.
Here are just some of the of the highlights from the incredible lunch.
In the evening we headed back to the hotel where we were wined and dined and provided with some brilliant entertainment including these synchronised swimmers. [video width="960" height="544" mp4="http://theproposers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/borgo1.mp4"]
Day 3
Where do I start!? This day was jam packed full of talks from Karen Tran, Vandana Mohan and Bruce Russell, plus many more (unfortunately I couldn't see them all)
After the seminars ended we were taken to an Olive Grove where we had the most amazing picnic in the sun amongst the trees...
... and listened to a brilliant jazz band!
After the picnic we were whisked back to the hotel where we changed for a Gala Dinner in the evening, which was out this world.
Making new friends with the best in the business.
After being spoilt with performances from ballerina's, opera singers and orchestra's we danced the night away with our new friends to the incredible bands.
I didn't know what to expect before heading to Engage, but it truly was one of the most inspiring and worthwhile trips I have made. I learnt so much more than I could have hoped for, and made a lot of new friends within the industry.
