Before Christmas Joseph came to us because he wanted our help to organise a beautiful proposal for his girlfriend Amy. He told us that Amy loves being treated like Royalty so he wanted to propose in a location which would make her feel like a Princess. We found the perfect venue, an Italianate country home, called Kilworth House in Leicestershire.

Joseph loved the idea of highlighting the couples past, present and future so we organised for three canvases to be created. The first canvas was a collage of pictures from their past. The second was a montage of pictures from their present life and the third was a picture of Joseph stood alone holding up a sign with a question mark on it. Joseph's family have their own crest and he wanted to incorporate this into the proposal in some way, so we created personalised wrapping paper to cover the canvases.
On the day of the proposal Joseph brought Amy to a private room within the house. As she entered she saw burgundy rose petals in a trail along the floor leading toward a lit fire. We had strung fairy lights and candles around the room, which created a warm ambience.
To fit in with the antique feel of the room we had bought a globe, which we wrote, 'Love Makes The World Go Round' by using scrabble pieces.Amy's face lit up with joy as she entered the room. She walked over to the canvases and unwrapped them one by one. As she got to the last canvas she saw the photo of Joseph holding up the question mark.
When she turned around, Joseph was now down on one knee, holding up a beautiful diamond ring toward her. He asked Amy those four magical words every girl dreams of hearing. 'Will You Marry Me?' And she said yes!
After the proposal we arranged for Joseph and Amy to celebrate with a lovely bottle of champagne before going through to one of the restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal with their family. Take a closer look at their beautiful proposal here:
