Just last week, we had the honour of planning a proposal at one of the most iconic estates in France - Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte.

A Timeless Proposal At Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

There are some venues that simply hold romance in their walls. Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is one of them.

Located just outside of Paris, this 17th Century masterpiece was made for grand gestures.

Setting the Scene:

The Bride-to-be believed she was attending a work engagement, which gave us the perfect foundation to build from. We arranged professional hair and make-up beforehand, seamlessly fitting within the cover story so everything felt natural.

By the time the couple reached Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, everything was already in motion. Candles were being lit. Flowers carefully positioned. Musicians quietly briefed,

And just like that, the setting was ready.

We love incorporating live music into a Château proposal. It instantly shifts the energy and makes the moment feel cinematic, almost as though it’s been lifted from a film, whilst still remaining deeply intimate.

The Proposal Moment:

As the couple pulled up to the Château they were greeted by thousands of candles positioned throughout the gardens, flickering a warm glow onto the historic architecture. It was elegant, atmospheric and effortlessly romantic.

As they entered, the proposal setting lay before them - perfectly designed to complement the château’s architecture without overpowering it. Whilst in the background The Trio of strings were playing a romantic selection of bridgeton style covers. Everything was considered beautifully.

The proposal itself was emotional, personal and entirely theirs.

And yes, she said yes.

An Evening Designed To Flow:

We always encourage our couples to extend the moment and truly enjoy the evening.

Following the proposal, a private dinner was set within the château. It featured refined florals, exceptional cuisine all enjoyed under the soft glow of candlelight. It felt elevated yet relaxed - exactly how a French proposal should feel.

And because we believe in layering experiences and making the most of the evening, we concluded with one final moment after their final course.

A private firework display illuminated the sky above Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. That the couple were able to press the start button themselves. It was dramatic, emotional and truly unforgettable.
