It's absolutely amazing, a feeling that will stay with you forever, but it takes some planning if you want to make sure that your proposal goes off without a hitch (and stays off). Lake Como

Lake Como is located in the Italian Alps and has been a popular tourist destination since it opened. The 5* Grand Hotel Tremezzo is located right on the lake, so you can have dinner on their terrace with a beautiful view of both mountains and water, its outstanding natural beauty. You can have the terrace all to yourself, decorated with rose petals, candles and a musician to serenade the two of you. This marriage proposal spot is magnificent and you can make a holiday out of it! There's no better place than Italy!

Almafi Coast
Almafi Coast is an area in the South of Italy, its coast is the home of the famous towns Positano and Almafi. The coast has many beautiful beaches and small towns with charming hotels and restaurants. One such restaurant is Ristorante Torre Normanna, possibly one of the most romanic restaurants where you can dine on the rocks with romantic decoration and pop the question. The views are spectacular, you can watch the boats sail by in the Tyrrhenian Sea, right infront of you while enjoying the magical moment together. This spot is known for its classic Italian cuisine but with a little twist. Stunning and elegant from start to finish.

Rome
The Hotel Palazzo Manfredi located in Rome is a 5* hotel with views of the colosseum. You can propose to your partner in one of their private dining rooms or out on the veranda. You could also propose at one of Rome's romantic restaurants nearby, like Da Fortunato (with its Michelin stars) or La Pergola (which was voted World's Best Restaurant in 2017). All spots that can be decorated beautifully for your special moment.
If you want to get engaged by day and celebrate your engagement in the evening then Villa Borghese Gardens and Villa Medici Gardens are both popular locations for romantic picnics, Rome is full of wonderful hidden gems to make your moment special.

Venice
Venice is a city made for love and so it’s a great place to propose. It's romantic, beautiful and has so many opportunities for amazing photos. There are many magnificent terraces overlooking the grand canal, or perhaps a gondola ride on water with a surprise flash mob on a bridge, or something subtle like a sign hanging out of an Italian shutter window reading ‘will you marry me?’.
